To deliver the best aesthetic outcome for our patients, all restorations (composite fillings and porcelain fillings) at Quality Dental are made to match the colour of your surrounding teeth. We use either porcelain, or composite resin, to restore small sections of the tooth that need to be removed due to decay or fracture.
Porcelain fillings are manufactured in-house using CADCAM milling technology using the highest-quality porcelains. Porcelain restorations are significantly stronger than resin and sit perfectly flush with the complex shape of the filling’s edges. While porcelain restorations are more expensive they will last longer than their resin counterparts.
Composite resin restorations are a cost-effective short to medium term solution. Composite is applied directly into the tooth and as a result does not incur any laboratory costs. The disadvantage with using composite is that it is a weaker material, which does not adapt to the edges of the tooth as well as porcelain fillings.
