Cosmetic Injectables In Sydney

Cosmetic Injectables have both dental and cosmetic applications. As a qualified dentist Dr Luke Cronin has a comprehensive knowledge of facial anatomy and he is highly competent in the administration of wrinkle relaxers, or Botulinum toxin, and dermal fillers. Trained in  aesthetic dentistry, Dr Luke Cronin is able to provide the highest standard of treatment in a safe and reliable clinical environment

Years of sun exposure and everyday use of facial muscles contribute to the signs of ageing on your face. As the body’s production of collagen declines and the muscles on and around your face weaken, fine lines and wrinkles generally develop around your eyes, nose and mouth. Your body fat, including facial deposits, also redistributes and certain areas of your face can lose the fullness it once had.

In recent years, the cosmetic industry has developed cosmetic injectables as an innovative solution to counter these signs of ageing. In response to growing demand, these non-invasive methods are helping more and more people achieve their desired appearance without the need for plastic surgery.

What are Cosmetic Facial Injectables?

Cosmetic Facial Injectables may be broadly grouped into two categories: relaxing agents and filling agents. The type of product and application depends on your specific concern and the existing quality of your skin.

Relaxing agents help to ease the involuntary tension around the muscles that cause wrinkles. The process of relaxing the muscles also smoothens out the wrinkles with lasting results.

Filling agents, or dermal fillers involve the injection of a gel-like substance under or within a targeted area of your skin. As the name suggests, the gel fills in wrinkled and sagging skin on your face to recover the tautness and smoothness of younger skin. Fillers are prized for their effectiveness and versatility – allowing great precision when correcting wrinkles while equally adept at adding “volume” to larger areas such as cheeks.

Cosmetic Injectable Treatments Available at Quality Dental

Quality Dental provides cosmetic injectables as part of a range of cosmetic treatments designed to rejuvenate the look of your smile and visage. At Quality Dental, we combine comprehensive clinical training and experience with excellent aesthetic judgement to provide you with safe and predictable outcomes. We use Cosmetic Facial Injectables as a stand alone treatment or in conjunction with other cosmetic treatments to design the look that you want.

Dr. Cronin administers precise applications that deliver natural looking results. With skillful application you can expect to reduce the perceived age of your face in as little as 10 minutes. In younger skin the application of wrinkle relaxers can prevent the formation of fine lines and winkles with repeated applications.

When you receive cosmetic injectables at Quality Dental you benefit from our clinical experience and artistic vision, and as a client you can expect the safe and comprehensive care that has built our practice’s reputation.

Dermal Fillers Sydney

With Dermal Fillers, you can now add “volume” or shape your lips for a more youthful and fuller appearance. Your lips are one of the most delicate parts of your face, therefore the method you choose for any type of cosmetic augmentation should reflect a fine balance between delicate artistry and clinical precision. Quality Dental understands this balance and has the expert technique to effectively use Dermal Fillers as an injectable lip enhancement to produce subtle natural results.

The Advantage of Dermal Fillers

One of the advantages of Dermal Fillers lies in its gentle yet accurate means of shaping, adding volume and evening out of the lips and surrounding areas. As your lips naturally lose their volume over time or if you have naturally thin lips, this treatment is designed to improve the fullness and supple qualities of younger looking lips.

Injectable lip enhancement involves more than filling in the red areas of your lips. A major aesthetic consideration is the precision of the injections to subtly fill specific areas around the lips. For example, gently lifting the corners of one’s lips is a popular way of enhancing the smile line and overall appearance of your mouth area.

Fillers are also used to add volume to other facial areas. When the collagen or fat in our faces break down as we age, wrinkles begin to form. Dermal Fillers work by injecting fat, collagen or hyaluronic acids to plump up areas of the face that have a sunken appearance or are creased.

Dermal Fillers Provide More Flexible and Versatile Applications

It helps that Dermal Fillers allow for highly flexible applications: filling in lines and folds; plumping up lips; and rebalancing facial contours. The multiple uses of dermal fillers provide your cosmetic practitioner with the versatility to achieve natural aesthetic results that complement your unique facial features. While the results can last for months, they are not permanent. If you have a change of heart down the road, you simply discontinue the treatment or discuss the desired changes with the doctor.

In addition to enhancing the shape and size of your lips, Dermal Fillers can address concerns with nasolabial folds – the deep creases that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth. These injections provide a fast and reliable way to fill what are commonly referred to as “marionette lines”.

The Quality Dental Advantage

As a dentist who has a specific interest and expertise in cosmetic dental treatments, Dr Luke Cronin has intimate knowledge of facial aesthetics, in particular the area that constitutes the smile. When it comes to the interrelation between the lips, teeth and face, Dr Cronin is qualified and experienced to treat the physiology in this area. Dr Cronin knows how to achieve the correct facial symmetry for each client – including proportional balance between the upper and lower lip – to design a smile that suits your face. Our philosophy with lip enhancement treatments is to deliver a natural and attractive smile using safe yet non-invasive methods.

Wrinkle Relaxers Sydney

A cosmetic treatment to counter fine lines and wrinkles on the face are Wrinkle Relaxers or Botulinum toxin. Quality Dental offers this in-practice cosmetic treatment that has taken off in the field of cosmetic dermatology (and Sydney!).

Showing up as crow’s feet around the eyes, frown lines between the eyebrows or wavy folds across the forehead, wrinkles are an unwelcome sign of ageing for anyone who wants to maintain their youthful appearance. In spite of best efforts to stay out of the sun and be sunsafe, you can’t prevent wrinkles from developing. And they’re not exactly the easiest facial contours to hide with make-up either!

This is precisely why Wrinkle Relaxers have become such a hot trending cosmetic procedure. Indeed, the treatment has found a thriving clientele, mostly made up of professional women on the lookout for modern makeover secrets.

The Wrinkle Relaxers treatment we provide at Quality Dental is a quick and painless way to diminish those line formations. We use only medically approved products in our clinically safe environment to smoothen out those ageing effects with fast, reliable and predictable results.

It may take just minutes for our professional Cosmetic Dentists to administer this relatively painless and non-surgical procedure, but the results are no less impressive than costly and time-consuming surgical enhancements. You will be impressed by the visibly noticeable results – evident within days of the treatment!

What Does A Wrinkle Relaxer Treatment Involve?

The treatment involves injecting a micro-needle directly into or around the facial muscles. It works by blocking the release of the chemical substance that causes muscle contraction. This cosmetic procedure uses the same medical treatment that has been used for over 20 years to treat excessive sweating, migraines and involuntary muscle spasms.

The treatment may be repeated as often as desired, usually every three to four months, with minimal discomfort and side effects. In the right clinically trained hands of a dentist it produces highly predictable results.

The procedure normally takes less than 10 minutes, consisting of a number of injections around the same group of muscles. The number of injections vary for different types of wrinkles and treatment: 25 units for frown lines; 10-15 for each side of crow’s feet; and 10-15 units for forehead lines.

Non-invasive Gummy Smile Correction in Sydney

cosmetic-dentistry2

The term gummy smile refers to the over-exposure or disproportionate area of gum being exposed when a person smiles.  There are many possible reasons for this presentation:

  • the teeth are too short in proportion to gum visibility;
  • an over-protruding upper jaw bone causing the gums to be over-exposed;
  • over-active facial muscles; or
  • a combination of these factors.

If you are unhappy with the appearance of your smile because of your gums Quality Dental offers a non-invasive and highly predictable Gummy Smile Correction treatment that will give you a more attractive and balanced smile.

As the underlying cause and extent of gum visibility presents differently from person to person, treatment may involve the work of a plastic surgeon, dentist, oral surgeon, or a combination of their varied expertise. The most invasive type of treatment involves shortening the jawbone through surgery to reduce gum visibility. This is a significant step to correct a primarily cosmetic dental problem, it requires long healing periods and is an expensive procedure.

The Fast and Painless Way to Correct Your Gummy Smile!

There is an alternative to surgery for people with gummy smiles that is non-invasive and takes only minutes to deliver proven results. Using only medically approved products, Quality Dental offers this unique injectable treatment in a safe clinical environment.

This treatment is designed to relax specific smile muscles of your face so that they do not raise your lips beyond a certain point. By targeting the muscles that control your smile Dr. Cronin can alter the proportion of gum area that is exposed when you smile, giving you an improved teeth-to-gum proportion. The general rule for a smile line is a maximum exposure of 1 to 2 millimetres of visible gum tissue.

To achieve a natural and attractive smile, you can rely on the expertise of Dr Cronin who is well versed in the areas of smile design and facial aesthetics. Dr Cronin has over 15 years of clinical experience – delivering quality smile makeovers to his patients.

Teeth Grinding – TMJ Syndrome Treatment

Teeth grind

TMJ Causes – Are You Grinding Your Teeth In Your Sleep?

Bruxism refers to conscious or unconscious habits like teeth clenching and grinding that exert excessive stress on the joint and wear out the cartilage. Bruxism is the leading cause of TMJ Syndrome, however misaligned teeth, stress, anxiety and certain medications like antidepressant drugs are known to exacerbate the causes of TMJ Syndrome. The symptoms of TMJ Syndrome are varied in type and level of discomfort:

  • headaches; ringing in the ears;
  • ‘popping’ and ‘clicking’ sounds when opening/closing mouth;
  • neck or back pain; and
  • facial and muscle pain, often in the jaw area.

The TMJ syndrome can be treated with a host of solutions – from dental devices to protect the bruxists’ teeth from damage at night, to physical therapy that focus on jaw movement exercises.  Surgery is a treatment option but is usually offered in advanced cases of the disorder that have not responded to alternative treatments.

Injectable Therapy for TMJ

Quality Dental in North Sydney offers an additional treatment that is relatively simple and painless solution to stop teeth grinding and clenching. One of the most successful therapies in treating TMJ syndrome lies in the use of injectable medication that relaxes the masseter muscle – the large muscle that moves the jaw. This highly conservative and effective treatment works extremely well to weaken the tensed-up muscle in order to stop the grinding and clenching. Depending on the individual, treatment normally involves 5 or 6 relatively painless injections into the masseter muscle, which takes about a few minutes (per side) to administer.

This injectable therapy for TMJ syndrome is also commonly used to treat problems of muscle spasticity such as strabismus (crossed eye syndrome) and blepharospasm (eyelid spasm). The injectable medication can loosen up lockjaw and reduce headaches and pain associated with TMJ. It is a minimally invasive procedure that is both medically safe and reliable, with extremely low probability of side effects or allergies.

Whether you are visiting us for the first time or are an existing patient, undergoing a dental or cosmetic treatment, you will always receive exceptional patient care and customer service at Quality Dental.
